Jan-Willem Rombouts, Co-founder and CEO of Beebop.ai, Founder
and CEO of Scone.ai
Jan-Willem is a climate technology entrepreneur. After a career at
Goldman Sachs, Jan-Willem co-founded REstore in 2010, which
became a global pioneer in Virtual Power Plant technology (named
world's #1 VPP technology by Navigant Guidehouse in 2022).
With gigawatts of flexible power under management from Japan to
North America, REstore was acquired by Centrica in the Cleantech Deal
of the Year Europe of 2018. After serving as global Director of Product
Management at Centrica Business Solutions, Jan-Willem founded
Scone.ai in 2021, a climate activation platform which offers demand
side management on individually-driven emissions to cities and
companies. Scone is currently used by the City of London and other city
climate leaders as well as global insurance, media and telecom
companies to reduce their citizens and customer’s emissions. In 2023
Jan-Willem founded Beebop.ai, an AI-driven orchestration platform for
the power system, which is currently serving large energy companies
in- and outside of Europe.
